WHAT IS DYSPORT®?
Dysport®, or botulinum toxin type A, is a neuromodulator that selectively blocks and relaxes the muscles responsible for facial aging. It is used for cosmetic purposes to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. Untreated muscles remain untouched and function normally.
By relaxing the targeted muscles, Dysport® treatments will correct:
Wrinkles on the upper and lower face
Neck wrinkles
Frown lines between the eyebrows
Forehead worry lines
Crow’s feet around the outside of the eyes
How is Dysport® Administered?
To make the procedure as comfortable as possible, we will apply topical numbing cream for 10 minutes to reduce any procedure discomfort. Dysport® is administered with a very fine needle and injected into the facial muscles that you would like to treat. Everyone’s needs are different, and the number of injections needed will be discussed with you during your appointment. The amount of Dysport® will depend on the depth and severity of the wrinkles. Dysport® provides very natural-looking results, and the injections yield little to no bruising, swelling or discomfort. The results of your Dysport® treatment may last up to four months and should be repeated for maximum benefit. In the first couple of days, lines begin to soften and full results are seen within two weeks.

How Often Will I Need Dysport®?
Dysport® treatments do need to be repeated and should be spaced out approximately three to four months apart. Though it is not recommended, you can wait up to six months if you are getting Dysport® treatments in combination with other k-dermal fillers. It is important to continue your treatments because Dysport® results will actually begin to last longer with consistent treatment.
